Let's Play "HoloCure: Love the Fans" - VTubers' First Impressions

HoloCure is a free Horde Survivors game starring VTubers. I saw this game being recommended a lot, and figured I should try it as well. This is

I'm not that into VTubers. I never watch them live, and only occassionally stumbe upon their clips on Youtube. I enjoy watching them play video games in these clips, so I'm technically a fan, I'm just not into a specific VTuber that I could call myself a fan of her (or him.)

The game plays like a typical Horde Survivor. You control a character and have to avoid enemoies while your character automatically attacks. You earn experience by killing enemies, and when you level up you get to choose between unlocking new attacks or upgrading your defenses. There's a Stage Mode which contains Bosses, and there's Endless Mode that lets you fight enemies to survive as long as possible for new High Scores.

HoloCure starts out with 5 VTubers to choose from, I'm only familar with Gura from my Youtube recommendations, but I never watched any clips of her. I don't know about the other 4. I wonder if Korone is in this game. I may play long enough to unlock her if she was.

Other than the ease of control that comes with being a Horde Survivors game, the other appeal of HoloCure for me is its visual style. I like the pixel art looks great, and is fun to watch. The game gets too hectic when there are many enemies on the screen at once, but doesn't feel (to me) unbearably cluttered.

In this video, you'll watch me fight and survive for 10 minutes. This is my 3rd time playing the first stage. I didn't survive until the Boss this time, but I did fought the boss (and lost) before. Sadly, I was destroyed quickly, but I had a nice time playing. I'm definitely playing HoloCure again, so tell me in the comments if you want to see another recording of this game!
