Earn Satoshis While Listening To Podcasts: Fountain App Review

Podcasts are a unique type of media. Nothing is better than putting on my earphones to listen to a podcast while doing chores. It feels like I'm participating in a conversation and there's no need to look at the screen which makes it perfect for my multitasking brain.

Podcasts come in all topics and you can find them on countless platforms. I used to listen to podcasts on YouTube, but recently I found a great platform to listen to Podcasts and earn Bitcoin while doing so.

Fountain App is a "Listen to Earn" platform for Podcasting with a built-in Bitcoin Rewards system. On Fountain, you can find countless Podcasts about every topic. You can also earn Bitcoin by listening to Promoted Podcasts, and occasionally by just using the app normally.

For Podcasters, Fountain provides a big audience with easy tools to discover various podcasts. Fans can pay for a Transcription of the Podcast, Reward their favorite talks with Bitcoin satoshis, or Clip parts of the Podcasts to share them with the community.

Fountain App has become my favorite application to listen to in the morning while preparing and eating my breakfast. I would listen to the promoted Podcast for the day and occasionally check out other podcasts.

Each day, a new Promoted Podcast is shown to me. (One per day.) Rewards come every minute while listening. I earned different amounts of satoshis depending on the podcast, but it was usually 1 Satoshi per minute while I listened. Some short podcasts gave me 2 satoshis or 3 per minute, but those usually earn me less than 60 satoshis overall.

Some days I get up to 60 minutes of rewards I could earn by listening to any audio. Since I can choose any podcast I like to earn those extra rewards, I use the search function of the Fountain App to find topics I like.

One podcast I loved is Untangled Knots by @selfhelp4trolls. I like listening to his perspective on cultures. (Here's his YouTube channel.)

Because of the Fountain app, I listened to many talks about topics I wouldn't be interested in seeking otherwise. Many promoted Podcasts I got were about Bitcoin or Finance, (as expected considering the audience,) but I also listened to some about Climate Change and Blockchain Gaming. I even heard some romance-advice discussions.

As for Payouts, the Fountain App uses Lightning Network for Bitcoin transactions. I already withdrew some earnings from it to my Lightning Wallet. The transaction fees were small and the experience was seamless.
