Archiving My Threads - About Capitalism

While commenting on @infynytymining's thread earlier today on LeoThreads, I had an interesting conversation with @rzc24-nftbbg about Capitalism. I decided to make a cleaner version of what I said in that conversation.

The thread starts with @infynytymining exploring various economy/goverance systems using Cows analogy.

"SOCIALISM: You have two cows, and you give one to your neighbor." @infynytymining - [LINK]

@rzc24-nftbbg asked, "What about capitalism?" [LINK] So, I tried to be smart and commented for him. That's how the conversation started.

"CAPTALISM: You have two cows. You sell one and hire others to milk the second one. You keep the profits." -- Me [LINK]

"And why do many hate such a system? That puzzles me." -- rzc24-nftbbg [LINK]

Here are some of the things I said and the responses I got for them:

"Because under this system. If you don't own the Cows or any source of food you can't eat. If someone hires you for work, they're free to keep all profits and give you as little as they want, because they own the capital." -- Me [LINK]

"If you don't own a cow, at least own something you can afford. That is still far better than a world without private ownership." -- rzc24-nftbbg [LINK]

"To be fair, the more I learn about the economy, the more I think Capitalism is the best system we have, but it must be restricted somehow so people who have the Capital don't abuse people below them. (Taxes isn't a good restriction.)" -- Me [LINK]

"Abuse of power using capital is more tolerable than the abuse of power using politics, the law, the police, and the bureaucracy." -- rzc24-nftbbg [LINK]

"It's sad, but I agree.

I guess Socialism and Communism were built on the assumption they'll never be abused. It was unrealistically optimistic, but if you were suffering under capitalism for too long, some #hopium isn't that weird to have." Me. [LINK]

"Better to accept and live in a not-so-perfect system like capitalism than an ideology that promises heaven but gives you hell instead." -- rzc24-nftbbg [LINK]

The final three threads in the conversation were cool too. I didn't have anything to add so I could only repost @rzc24-nftbbg's comments here to read them again if I needed to. I marked the parts I like Bold:

1/ "But that rich started somewhere not unless of course he was born into it. Under capitalism, it is the consumers that have the power to make people rich or poor." [LINK]

"2/ If we don't see it happening, it is because something alien to the system has been introduced and we blame capitalism for it." [LINK]

"3/ Prior to capitalism, the world was a feudalist age. Do we love to return to that age where social mobility is close?" [LINK]

What Do You Think?

Do you agree or disagree with my (or rzc24-nftbbg's) views on Capitalism? Do you have an opinion on the matter you'd like to share? Do you have any feedback on the formatting of this article.

Hope to hear from you & See you in another post. (إن شاء الله)
