Hello everyone! Welcome to Tropical Fruit Town, where all farmer families bring their bountiful harvest to sell for this loyalty costumers. Here, I will show you the fresh and nature of fruit-growing, maintaining and tactical lovingly by local families. After a satisfy lunch, I was taking a walk to the town of Prek Somrong. This place is well-known for its abundance of fruit farmers. The clock struck 12 pm, yess extremely hot outside! That time I didn't even bother checking the temperature, but knowing Cambodia, it was probably around 37 or 38 degrees Celsius. I hope I was right!

The numerous fruit stands lining the streets from one vendor to another vendor, they don't rent a place for sell at all. Become this is family business, so just prepare everything in front of the house with umbrella. I have checked a several vendor before I I was here at a friendly woman selling her farm-fresh produce. I bargain with her, and she agreed to lower the price from 20,000 Riel to 18,500 Riel. Not bad, I agree with myself. My mind then want watermelons because I used to see it was display along amount of other several fruit before but so unfortunately that this month she hadn't harvested them yet.

The farmers, likely families, from one season to another season always displayed their home-grown tropical fruits like Longan, bananas, pomelos, custard apples, gooseberries, and more.

As I mentioned about the season, yess the fruit in every month isn't the same as always, like this season, the popular one is longan and custard apple. Being a fruit lover, I was looking for a delicious fruits to keep in my fridge.

A short few minutes later to my unexpected, she was kindly approached me with a knife in hand. She walk towards me and decribe how she grow her custard apple and inform me a random things she cuts and slice a custard apple open, you know if put your nose near the custard apple, the smell is so natural. My nose get spread by the sweet fragrance, which made me want to take a bite so bad.

For the obvious taste, I can say it was a bit of sweetness and large amount of creaminess. Totally what I was prefer, I also want to buy some more for my relative, but the seller said the leave custard apple already have the owners, she was about to deliver to her costumers house in this evening.

This longan, without even asking about whether they were sour or sweet, I just decided to give them a try by myself. For the inside of this longan, it was not that dry. I love the feeling swallowing this fruit but it seems like I need some water later as this is so sweet than I thought.

What's a Life Reflection🪞?

A life lesson I see from this lady, you know? This reflected to my life in previously after I stopped working for a factory, I decided to started running my own business selling variety things like daily products, beverages, and snacks, that time I used to let my child sleep on the hammock like this while I was busy selling goods for customers.

As a lady, I appreciate this moment in many ways that still find time to take care of our child without leaving them alone and always accompany them while sleeping on the hammock.

I love how they even had gooseberries and papayas, among other tropical goodies! By the appearance, the roads doesn't seem so busy, mostly each farmer family have a loyal costumers, so they just make a phone calls, and the seller will deliver the fruit to costumers house. That is so awesome!

I love custard apple, here in my country we call it atis. I grew up having them in our backyard. My parents love to plant and we have a lot of fruit bearing trees in our yard and one of them is the custard apple. Ours are the big kind. I hate it when it's season because fruit bats got to eat them first before us... Haha
