The sky, as captured in the photography, may appear to have a normal temperature, but in reality, it was scorching hot, reaching 37 degrees Celsius by 10 am. Let me take you on a journey to explore a hidden place within the Angkor archaeological park in Cambodia. If you've been to Cambodia before, I'd love to hear about your experiences visiting the Siem Reap province.

Smiling Culture

Greetings, all my belove travelers! I know that when you visit a foreign country, one of the things you look forward to is the warm welcome from the locals. I had the opportunity to capture a beautiful moment of a local woman selling fish in a glass, and her smile was absolutely stunning.

Here, in this part of Cambodia, you can breathe in the fresh air, courtesy of the towering old trees that have been standing for over 50 years. It is impossible to measure their size, but they create an environment that transports you to the golden era of Cambodia. However, this place has witnessed some changes.

Broken Stones Areas 🪨

There are parts that go unnoticed, like this area filled with broken stones, remnants of the temples that fell victim to the ravages of war. These broken pieces serve as a reminder of the architectural marvels that were destroyed. It breaks my heart to see these ancient stones shattered beyond repair.

More hurting and tough to accept is that it's not just about the stones; it's also about the rich culture that has been passed down through generations. We Cambodians, I am sure we take great pride in preserving our ancestral architecture, like the Angkor archaeological park. I still remember the joy my family felt when we heard the news that the park had earned its place on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Within the Angkor tourist park, there are many temples situated in close proximity to each other. Some are merely a few meters apart. I was planned to explore many other temple. Unfortunately, due to heavy traffic during my visit, I couldn't explore them all. However, I did manage to visit the few Temple, which was definitely worth the experience. Despite that, I longed to explore more and learn new facts to share with all of you.

Just a short walk away from the temple's main attractions, I stumbled upon a bridge. As I stood near the gate, I noticed some stones covered in moss. It appeared as though heavy rain had caused this natural results, and it was sad to witness.

Through the lens of a camera, the temple appeared older and older with each passing moment. It is absolutely right to have rules announcement not to touching of the walls. It's a way to show respect to the government and preserve these historical sites for future generations. I find it hard to comprehend why some individuals still choose to ignore and criticize such rules.

While the art of the building in the middle section is of good quality and continues to attract visitors, this particular tourist destination boasts the presence of over ten particular areas that one must explore. Each area has something unique and sometimes it may make you sad.

Inside This architecture

But when you go inside, you might feel uncomfortable and scared because the atmosphere is strange and a bit creepy. So, many of us bring maps and information to help us navigate through this historical place, which is more unsettling than we first thought.

Both lady and gentlemen, shoes isn't allowing!

We're inside a building right now, and the guide is telling us about the history and how things happened. As I listen, I want to make sure I follow the rules and not do anything strange or different from anyone else. I am very focused at this moment.

Haha, the last part had me laughing dear when you said you really are focused on following the rules stated by the guide. You don't want to do anything strange ..... Probably places like this are haunted. So much history and lots have happened in the past..... O! Creepy!
