Friends Future Factory - Planting for Greener Worlds 🪴!

IMG_0729.jpeg

I recently had the opportunity to attend the F3 event, it was nothing like I expected! But amazing than that! When I first heard about it, I already think of the famous F4, the idol actor from that the previous classic movie. Before the Korean series became so popular. Little did I know that F3 actually stood for Friends Future Factory, an event that celebrated our local plants and brought our Phnom Penh community together.

When we entered the event, sure y’all greeted by the sight of greenery all around us waiting us to learn about themselves. Must be a paradise for plant lovers! There were rows and rows of different plants, each one more beautiful than the last. The inside feel like home than it looks outside the event.

But it wasn't just about admiring the plants. The event was all about sharing tips and knowledge with fellow plant lovers. There were experts giving talks on how to care for different types of plants, how to propagate them, and even how to create your own mini indoor garden. It felt like a treasure trove of plant wisdom, and I couldn't wait to learn more.

I fascinating Syngonium Aurea. Its majestic beauty captivated me instantly, urging me to delve into the story of its origin. As I connected with its caretaker, I discovered the intriguing journey this splendid plant had embarked upon.

You see, this Syngonium Aurea wasn't just any ordinary plant from a neighboring country or a far-off land. No, it had a remarkable tale to tell, rooted right here in Cambodia. The local people embarked on a mission to cultivate a thriving farming business, weaving a tapestry of a good life.

It amazed me how this plant, priced at a humble $8, played a significant role in exhibitions and gatherings. People from all walks of life would flock to witness the beauty of handmade products and innovative craftsmanship. It was here that the idea to showcase this enchanted Syngonium Aurea emerged.

What I love most about the Syngonium Aurea is its contrasting colors. On one side, it has a light green shade, while the other side is dark green. The light green almost transforms into a little yellow, which creates a beautiful combination. That how fascinating this plant has become such a unique and amazing sight at exhibitions and gatherings. Either the another plant too, have to appreciate how the owner takes care of this plant and displays it for everyone to see. It would be great to ask them for more details about the flower and how they grow it. I can learn a lot from their experience.

Labay Studios

Have to mention that Labay isn’t an English, but in Khmer this really easy to understand which is the mix of more than two substances, simply means combination.

Labay studios is truly a haven for all plant pot lovers out there. Their collection of handmade plant pots is not only aesthetically pleasing but also environmentally conscious. I was amazed by their dedication to reducing waste while creating these unique pots.

It actually a coaster as well!!! How’s cute the light orange one?

As I listened to the passionate creator behind Labay studios, her words resonated deeply within me. She shared her story and the experience behind each design, leaving a lasting impression. The love and care put into crafting each pot was evident in the end result.

What struck me the most was the beautiful simplicity of the designs. Labay studios has mastered the art of creating minimalist and attractive plant pots. The clean lines and unique shapes blend seamlessly into any space, making them a perfect addition to any home or garden.

I wasn't sure if this place showcases the blooming of plants and flowers every year, with people happily enjoying the different types of flora. Just like me, standing in the center, embracing the vibrant crowd, I listen and try to understand if I got it right. It's like watching the passing of seasons as people, like modern-day pollinators, come and go, finding themselves in the beauty of nature at any time of the day.

One of the things that struck me the most about the F3 event was the sense of community. People from all walks of life had come together, united by their love for plants. The purpose is also to see everyone exchanging tips and tricks, sharing their favorite plant stories, and even purchasing plants from each other. It was like a mini plant bazaar, with everyone supporting and uplifting one another.

Attending the F3 event truly opened my eyes to the wonders of our local flora. I realized that plants aren't just objects that simply exist in our surroundings; they are living beings that deserve our care and attention. They provide us with beauty, fresh air, and a sense of calm in our busy lives.
