MCGI CARES FOR FEBRUARY 22, 2024

It was a wonderful experience listening to the word of God from brother Daniel, this are what I learnt from his teaching.

"Mark 7:7 It is no use for them to worship me, because they teach human rules as though they were my laws!'"

There are different teachings from different sources due to different person intentions and motive some are for monetary gain and some to gather fame and members but as many as this rules and teaching are we are not permitted to follow anyone apart from what is in the Bible. From the day we accept Christ we are no longer under human rules the Bible is our standard for everything we do.

"Luke 8:11-15 This is what the parable means: the seed is the word of God 12. The seeds that fell along the path stand for those who hear; but the Devil comes and takes the message away from their hearts in order to keep them from believing and being saved. 13. The seeds that fell on rocky ground stand for those who hear the message and receive it gladly. But it does not sink deep into them; they believe only for a while but when the time of testing comes, they fall away.14. The seeds that fell among thorn bushes stand for those who hear; but the worries and riches and pleasures of this life crowd in and choke them, and their fruit never ripens.15. The seeds that fell in good soil stand for those who hear the message and retain it in a good and obedient heart, and they persist until they bear fruit."

Our heart should always be ready to hear, follow and abide by the word of God. The word of God should have root in our hearts we should allow it to penetrate deep into us. We should not be those that hear and follow the word of God only for a short time and later go back to their vomit.

"Romans 7:12 So then, the Law itself is holy, and the commandment is holy, right, and good."

"James 2:22. Can't you see? His faith and his actions worked together; his faith was made perfect through his actions."

The commandments that God gave us is for our own good when we believe in God we have faith in him and this faith is been expressed in our actions. When we follow his commandments we live in peace with each other and we are sure that God is always there for us no matter what circumstances going on in our lives or in the world

Bro Daniel also taught us about holiness. Holiness is been different from others when we are holy we live a life free of sin, we participate in the good work of christ helping the poor, rendering help to the weak and doing good. Holiness helps to draw people to Christ and makes them admire the God we serve.

"Proverb 19:17. When you give to the poor, it is like lending to the LORD, and the LORD will pay you back."

"Matthew 25:45. The King will reply, 'I tell you, whenever you refused to help one of these least important ones, you refused to help me."

God is always happy when we give to the least of his people when we did not withhold the resources he has bless us with from his people, when we show compassion to other God is pleased with us because it is like us rendering the help to him. Each and everyone of us has been blessed in one way or the other, it is not always about money we can render our time also and also our energy.
