MASS INDOCTRINATION DAY 4/ THURSDAY 25TH APRIL 2024
Today mass indoctrination program was great as we are taught about prayer, the importance and what to observe before praying.
"Jeremiah 17:9-10 Who can understand the human heart? There is nothing else so deceitful; it is too sick to be healed.10. I, the LORD, search the minds and test the hearts of people. I treat each of them according to the way they live, according to what they do.*"
Bro Eli taught us that as Christian prayer should be our lifestyle in anything we do we should pray irrespective of the time and season. When we want to eat, sleep, travel, just waking up, in need or distress we should pray. Our God is not slow to understanding he hear us and will answer us. Prayer is the way we speak to our father in heaven, when we pray we made our intentions knew to him although he knows our heart desires before we ask him but he still want to to ask. Prayer and fasting is a very great weapon especially when we need deliverance from something. As a married couples when we want to fast we should seek the consent of our partner first and avoid sexual intercourse for the period of the fasting.
"John 9:31. We know that God does not listen to sinners; he does listen to people who respect him and do what he wants them to do."
"1 Peter 3:7 In the same way you husbands must live with your wives with the proper understanding that they are more delicate than you. Treat them with respect, because they also will receive, together with you, God's gift of life. Do this so that nothing will interfere with your prayers."
When we want to fast and pray to God with the intentions of him listening to us we should come before him with a clean heart. As a husband or wife we should not hold grudges against one another, the husband should love and care for the wife and the wife should submit to the husband no matter the conditions of the husband.
"2 chronicles 7:14. if they pray to me and repent and turn away from the evil they have been doing, then I will hear them in heaven, forgive their sins, and make their land prosperous again."
"John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."
Bro Eli also taught us that the repentance of our souls matter to God no matter how bad our past or sin may be when we pray to him for repentance he will answer our cry. The only way we can make our heart clean before God is by studying and following the word of God written in the Bible. The Bible contains the desires of God and how he want his children to behave and through the word of God, God reveals himself to us and also use his word to cleanse our heart.
