MASS INDOCTRINATION DAY 11// Monday 25TH SEPTEMBER 2023

Am happy to be among the partaker of today mass indoctrination program. Bro Eli Seriano taught us a lot of things which I want to share some.

"1 Corinthians 10:21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the lord's table and the table of demons."

"Hebrew 13:15-16 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise the fruit of lips that openly profess his name. And do not forget to do good and share with others, for with such sacrifice God is pleased."

Bro Eli made us understand that doing what is good is a commandment from God that must be follow not everything that God want us to do is in the Bible sometimes God himself allow us to decide and that why he gave us the holy Spirit to lead and direct us so that we will not do what is wrong but it is left for us to choose either to follow it or not. We cannot be doing good and bad at the same time and expect that we are still God children the table in the first verse means the church, what God which means that we cannot be a member of God and satan at the same time.

"Number 30:2 When a man makes a vow to the Lord or takes an oath to bind himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said."

"Ecclesiastes 5:4 when you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfil it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfil your vow."

Vows are the promises we made to either God or anyone without been forced, deceive, entice to do so. It cannot be made on our behalf, before we make any vow we should be sure of what we are getting into, can we fulfil it if not it is better not to make the vow at all. Not making a vow is not a sin but not fulfilling the vow is a sin. If we want to ask God for something we can make a vow, pray and fast it is acceptable but never make a vow you cannot keep.

"2 Corinthians 9:7-8 each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."

"1 Corinthians 16:1-2 Now about the collection for the Lord's people: do what I told the galatian church to do. On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collection will have to be made."

Giving is a sacrifice to God, God expect us to give freely what we have without complain we should learn to give to people close to us and people that are not even close or related to us. Giving should come from the heart, when we give we do the will of the father. The gospel cannot go on smoothly without the given and donations of the children of God. When we give to the work of God it is as if we are the one doing that work, there is someplace we cannot get to due to one reason or the other but our donations can go there on our behalf. When give and want it to be accepted it has to be from a good source and must come from our heart.

"Matthew 6:2-3 So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets as the hypocrite do in the synagogue and on the street to be honoured by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full but when you give to the needy do not let your left hand know what your rights hand is doing."

When giving we should not announce it or make it know to everybody that we want to give that kind of given cannot be accepted for example you want to buy a chair for the house of God you don't need to start telling everybody at your place of work, relatives, friends or even church members that next week I want to buy chair for my local church no it is wrong what you have to do is just buy the chair and donate it no need announcing it to everyone.

"James 1:27 Religion that God our father accept as pure and faultless is this: to look after the orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

We should also take care of the poor, orphans and widows among us we should provide food, security, clothing and shelter for them we should not leave them to their fate. This is the people God is asking us to extend a helping hand for.
