My Cleaning Activity For Friday, 12th January, 2024.

Good evening everyone , welcome to my blog. I wasn't able to carry out my cleaning activity in the morning because there has been power outage, but I was happy there was light this evening, so I quickly carried out my cleaning activities in my vicinity. I went round the second street near my house. It's been a long time since I visited the place. The place was littered with polyethene, plastics, papers etc.
I had to visit this part of the community because it's been a long time since I cleaned this particular part of the vicinity. The damage people are causing to the planet is serious because the polyethene and the plastics takes many years to decay.They need to be educated on the hazards these indiscriminate dumping of refuse is causing the planet.

Many university students are living in my area as I said in my last post, many of the places these students live are unkept.I will be showing these places in my next clean planet activity. I am not happy with the way the inhabitant of my community are littering their surroundings. There are no garbage bins anywhere around the vicinity, I trekked long distances to see if any house has garbage bin but I found non , also people find it difficult to dispose off waste as there are no dump sites.

Many people now dump Refuse in the forest, rivers, lagoons especially when it's raining, they rely on the rain to transport the wastes.This attitude affects the water bodies, aquatic organism and the health of the near by villagers that drinks from these rivers and lagoons.I am doing my best to cause the people to change their mentality about waste disposal.I am very happy to get my community clean as many people are now trying to clean their environment, as they feel embarrassed seeing me getting it clean for them. Let's continue to be that light that shines in our community, as we get rid of wastes properly.
Let's continue to make our environment safe and clean.
