I have run a project for almost two years called @help.venezuela. This projects supports around 35 authors from Venezuela by giving them systematic upvotes to all their posts. The average income in Venezuela is now somewhere around 2$ per month. Hive can be a real life saver for them since they can exchange Hive directly into bolivares and use it for food or cloths. Some of my friends even managed to create some networks around themselves where they help people onboard on hive or to simply give away food to their neighbors.
