4 Websites to create images for free with AI

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

For my offline job, I was looking for an image online. I was looking on the internet and I couldn't really find what I wanted. Then I had to take into account the copyright aspects and it made things even more complicated. A friend suggested that I should use AI generated images.

Finding websites where you can create images with AI

I found the idea quite interesting and I started to search the internet for websites that allowed me to create images with AI. I soon realized that most of these websites were actually paid subscriptions and I then started to look for free alternatives.

It took me quite some time to find some sites that allowed to create a certain amount of free images. In the video I present them more in detail.

4 websites where you can create free images with AI

Playground AI
With Playground AI, you can create up to 500 images a day with the free plan. There are some quality limitations if you do more than 50 images. The website also comes with an editor that allows to perform actions like upscaling, flipping and others

Leonardo.io
This website allows you to do very high quality images. You recieve daily 150 credits that allow you to create around 10 – 20 images a day. You have several options for settings and outputs.

Perchange.org
On this website you can create as many images as you want for free. I played with it very much. The quality is not always great but you can do many things and define plenty of art styles. It's a great place to actually test your prompts.

Canva
Canva is the website that I use for all my graphical material. I use it to make video titles, print material and many other things. With Canva you can also create ai based images. With the free account you can create about 50 images, with a pro account around 500 images per month. I don't know exactly whether the credits are refilled at the end of the month or not for the free account.

All four websites allow you to create some images and the results will depend greatly on the prompts that you enter. I've realized that the way to generate a prompt is a science for itself and I will probably create another post about that.

I hope this was helpful. Feel free to ask your questions in the comment section

I was recently searching as well for a Zealy competition I was participating in. I had the same conclusion: a lot of websites, of which most are paid ones.

Yesterday I found leonardo.io and saved it to check it out later. Will check out the others as well!

Thanks for sharing your list and already looking forward to your next article about how to feed those ai sites! :D

Leonardo.io is great but you can only create about 20 images per day. In terms of quality I really like playground ai the most.

Thanks for sharing your list and already looking forward to your next article about how to feed those ai sites!

That's a great motivation for more videos, thanks ;-)

Lbry is a bit a youtube clone where you can get some rewards for watching videos.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try them. I have a year ago and maybe more a lot of posts about AI for image creation. I use the most Night Cafe Creator. Also, I tested Firefly by Adobe and it's the best I think but it has some limitations with licensing for free use. I'm thinking about purchasing it, it costs $5 monthly...

I also played around with Firefly but many images are against their rules and so it's a bit difficult to work with it. I really like playground ai. You can do plenty of things and it's almost impossible to reach the limits of the free account.

Thanks for sharing these great sources for AI images! I was thinking about doing some research, but it's even better when someone else does it... Already tried Canva and it works great!

Always interesting your posts
I haven't tried to generate an image with an AI yet but it's something I want to try to do

For a long time I totally ignored AI tools. Then I once tried chat gpt and found it very useful. Now, I try to understand this image generation and the more I learn, the more interesting it looks :-)

I tried Playground AI and I can say that I'm in love with it. I think I need to learn more about prompts. I really liked @ph1102's outcome but I didn't succeed to make something as perfect as it :P

Playground AI offers a really nice experience and nice quality output for a free service. The prompts are not that easy to master and there is a learning curve there. I will probably make a video about it soon.

That would be awesome because I tried to make a thumbnail for my post but didn't succeed

I still think there are still quite a bit of copyright in regards to things and I still don't think I would bother to use it. It's on a moral border between things but it's nice to see that the technology is starting to get there.

When you need a very specific picture for a borchure or a website, I believe that AI can deliver. However, I agree that it's a bit a grey zone in respect to copyright.

If they are really free and they can still offer better service even after been free, it will be worth to check it out

You can use these sites all without providing any credit card. Some have daily limits, others are totally free.

Very interesting, this is something I should really look into more. I'm using ChatGPT a lot but never looked at AI image creation so far.

It's actually a pretty interesting field to play around once you understand how to use the prompts. Well I'm still learning ;-)

I myself use Canva quite a bit whenever I want to make any simple poster. I have yet to extensively try the AI capabilities though as most of it is locked behind a paywall (of sorts).

They paywalls can be annoying and it takes often time until you realize what you need to pay for...

Thanks for this list, it can prove useful. I used AI from Canva to generate an image before. I'll probably try the other ones in the future.

I found it very useful when I needed a very specific image for a company brochure and didn't find anything existing.

(Edited)

I started to find fewer and fewer relevant free images. Most of them are now under a paywall, which to me makes no sense for the websites hosting them because they will drive regular users needing them to AI and they will become irrelevant quicker.

I have the same problem and it was just a matter of postponing until I had to dive into the matter :-)

Hi bro!. I'm glad I stopped by, albeit late. I have more than a month looking for a website to create these images with style and elegance and I still can't find it, I don't know if it's the websites I've visited or if it's me that I still don't understand what's happening 😅 I think I'll try later with these proposals that you share here because I've almost given up...

There is a pretty steep learning curve in order to get the results that you expect. I can understand your frustration :-)

I will dedicate myself a bit more, I really believe I can do great things, but I need the tools first 😅 Happy Wednesday bro!...

Canva is really upping their game by introducing all the AI features. Even the free membership has good value to it. I will check the other sites as well.
