Hive Investors Are a Whole Different Pedigree

My experience with investing is solely related to crypto. In 2017 I have purchased my first cryptocurrencies and became an investor. I have no prior experience as such and so far it has played out quite good. It's changed a bit my personal finances and also my way of seeing money and the potential in the online and off line world.

I have friends that are trading stocks on all sort of apps, I've met shareholders to all sort of companies and I bet there are plenty around the world that are invested in all sort of stocks to who knows what companies.

We've had the #wallstreetbets movement a few months ago when the price of a stock has been pumped immensely by a bunch of reddit users. Well, that bunch has been quite numerous, but still. The question is: how much did those guys truly believe in GameStop, the company? How educated were they on the company and its fundamentals...?

I'd say not much and I'm 100% sure that most of the Apple or Tesla investors don't give a damn about the companies. The majority don't probably own an iPhone or a Tesla. They are invested though due to all sort of reasonings and some have probably made more than decent gains, but at the end of the day they're not involved in the projects in any way...

Hive is a whole different story. Although a relatively new blockchain that hasn't managed yet to go mainstream despite it truly deserves it, benefits form a whole different breed of investors. The ones that have put money into Hive, most of them, are not to be compared with Tesla or Apple stocks owners.

These guys are active members of this project. Look at @blocktrades, or @onealfa on Leofinance. They haven't simply bought tokens off an exchange and hold them on an account's wallet. They're involved in the project as many other smaller accounts. With HIVE you're not just a simple share holder, but a part of the living organism.

Same thing applies to many crypto projects out there and to crypto investors in general. Often times the ones that are buying the token of a project like BNB for example or BTC, or whatever, are actually users of that technology. They might not spend BTC or BNB around, although they could do that thanks to the Binance VISA card...

...but they're actually using the tech. They're using blockchain and they're somehow connected with their investment. Most of the stocks owners that are invested through an investment fund probably don't even know what stocks they're owning. Or don't give a damn about the company, what the end product is and the trajectory of it.

With HIVE is a whole different situation. Probably over 50% of us around here have taken part in the hardfork and the split of the community, have gone through a harsh bear market and kept on adding HIVE or creating content even when the price was a tenth of a dollar. Hive investors are a whole different pedigree.

What I also want to point out before closing this post is I believe that the 2021 bull market will be way different than the 2017 one. It might have some similarities, but we're on a totally changed battlefield. In 2017 investors were pouring money on ICOs and promises whilst nowadays we have a totally different use case for crypto.

Big companies like Tesla are holding BTC on their balance sheet, Canada already has a few Bitcoin ETFs, we have countries like Iran using Bitcoin to circumvent US sanctions, booking companies such as Travala(AVA) that was massively shilled by @trumpman and @empoderat that allow using crypto as payments all over the world, we have crypto cards that pay their users cashbacks in crypto and so on...

2017 was the year of the promises and perspectives and I'd say that that one was the dotcom bubble while 2021 is the year of make it happen. We finally see real world use cases for crypto and the mass adoption is starting to take shape. The crypto industry has changed a lot in the past four years, its investors are one of a kind and my take is that 2021 will have a bull market like never before.

Hope you guys are having a great Sunday. I'm celebrating Easter today along with all the Orthodox Christians around the world, so I won't be too active, but will definitely see you to the next one.

Thanks for attention,
Adrian

What I love more than the present is the future
What I really like is the continuous development is the vision for the future that can put us elsewhere
In fact, I thank all the coders and all those in charge of this wonderful network
