"Bitcoin accepted here"...

Looking back at where crypto was back in 2017, while talking with a good friend of mine who actually has introduced me to this tech, we realized we've really made some progress in here. You need to go no further than Hive and see that progress is here and it's palpable.

DeFi is definitely an important leap forward and we've somehow created ourselves some sort of crypto banks at this point. This thing is gradually becoming a self sustainable system, but it's lacking something, something that I see as being highly important.

And that is crypto being used as a payments system, as an actual currency. There's not many places where I saw the good old sign Bitcoin accepted here and it's such a pity. I know that for some of us, cryptocurrencies are still just assets stored on a wallet.

I believe though that the best proof to the world that we can offer is to integrate cryptocurrencies, not especially Bitcoin, into the mainstream payments systems. Otherwise there will always be that us and them type of feeling around cryptos.

They'll be looked at as some sort of internet thingies, as something exclusive and not inclusive. Crypto is not about dividing, but on the contrary. There are probably holders that wouldn't spend crypto because it's volatile and they could miss future money making opportunities.

I believe though that when more of us will actually spend cryptocurrencies around, the means to earn them and create more of them will arise so we can't speak of a continuous devaluation of such currencies. By doing that at some point we won't even need to pair them against any national currency anymore.

There will be us and our internet world functioning on blockchain technology, decentralized governance systems, smart contracts, contactless payments and crypto all around. I don't like the idea of molded money thus I think more and more of a world with circulating cryptocurrencies as "the currencies".

A world of abundance, fairness, transparency and more security. I don't see too many signs of that yet. Aside from the possibility I have with using the Binance card to pay around with crypto, I've never used crypto in any other way to buy anything...

Wouldn't mind to do that though... What do you think about this spending crypto around topic and how would you feel regarding doing that?

Thanks for attention,
Adrian

There are already companies who accept bitcoin as you've stated, and it is bound to keep rising. Eventually, crypto will be used in our day to day transactions perhaps as often as we trade Government backed currencies digitally

It's taking like forever to have this all over the place.

I've always been thinking of setting up small business sectors around town and Have this signs hanged up there.

There's actually a lot of people that we'd be saving stress! Most of the people we pass each day may own cryptocurrencies but we'd never know. If then this system of payment were introduced, there's quite a number of people that would love the idea because it's better than banks, faster than banks, and more convenient than banks.

Never used crypto for any purchase yet. Most likely I will use it on travala.com first as you also get a discount plus crypto back for using the app.

My plan is to hold and invest until I can live off my interest earnings only, that’s the way to go.
