AskLeo - What Are Your BTC, HIVE, and Your Favorite Crypto ATH predictions for This Bull Market?

It's been quite some time since my last #askleo post, and to be honest, I need to throw out such posts again. From what I'm seeing, engagement on my current type of content is in the gutter, and I have to somehow revive it. The idea behind #askleo was to boost engagement in the Leo community when Leofinance wasn't the most active.

Leofinance has evolved a bit since its early days, and who knows what the coming year will bring for one of the most loved communities on Hive. Anyway, we are in a bull market, despite what some of the so-called crypto gurus such as Capo believe, and BTC is going way higher than the 2021 peak in the next couple of years.

Altcoins are still lagging quite a bit, and this is typical bull market behavior, but you should rest assured we are going to have a full-blown altcoins season at some point. Thus far, we only saw AI coins, MEMEs, and all sorts of low caps pumping like there's no tomorrow.

HIVE will join the show as well, and my take is that it will do that once BTC starts to cool down properly. From what I noticed since we forked from Steem, it seems that HIVE is somehow a contrarian; it rarely does what the herd does.

BTC has been engaged in quite a run-up over the past year or so, and the latest leg up from $26K to the current level of $43.5K has left quite a few crypto investors. These ones were definitely waiting for $12k, and they will be waiting for that level for a long time ahead, but it's not going to happen.

We won't see BTC Moon any time soon either. I don't believe in overnight parabolic rises, and I'm seriously expecting a correction any time soon. From what history has shown us, 40% corrections on BTC are normal bull market behavior.

There are two major catalysts for BTC's bullish performance that will take it to new ATH in the next year or so, one of them being the halving, which has acted as a parabolic run catalyst for the price of BTC for three cycles already, and the next one is the spot ETFs that are going to be approved sometime next year.

A spot ETF will likely push trillions of dollars into BTC's market capitalization as it somehow represents "an official recognition" for BTC as an established asset class. We are gradually transitioning into the digital era, and we gotta have our digital gold. Although, to me, BTC is superior to gold...

Anyway, time for price predictions (not wishful thinking) though. So, my take is that BTC will reach something like $150,000 as an ATH for this cycle. I don't believe in a super cycle, even if we get the damn spot ETFs because I don't believe the world economy will go for too long without cracking.

I am certain that BTC will melt faces; it will for sure outperform its 2021 ATH, but I don't see it getting to $250K or more. I am more inclined to see BTC gradually appreciating once the ETFs get approved than falling for a god-like parabolic run that will take it to an insane dollar valuation followed by an epic crash.

I wish Bitcoin would have benefited from more attention coming from the masses for its attributes such as "the fuck you money," or the way through which we can circumvent the current crooked financial and political system, but unfortunately, its gambling nature is more appealing to them than the utility cases some of us would have been betting on for years.

Oh, and HIVE... My personal opinion is that, based on past performance, HIVE will reach at least $7, which is 2X its 2021 ATH. During the bear market, despite the 90% correction, HIVE has managed to hold well above the "ranging dollar valuation of $0.10" from 2020, and that makes me believe it will do well this bull market. Anything above $10 is a God-given gift, in my opinion.

I know that Hive deserves much more than that, but with the exposure that we have in the crypto media, we can't have much hope for it to perform like STEEM did back in 2016-2017. It would be great, no doubt about it, but realistically it's going to be a bit hard to achieve that. Although, we are seeing clear signs WEB3 is gaining traction.

But, what about other favorite altcoins and their potential ATHs? Well, one of these, in my case, is DOGE, and believe it or not, I believe DOGE will be a performer this bull cycle as well. If you go on trading view or coingecko and look at its ATH chart (I think I shared it on threads at some point), you will see the beauty in it. What this thing does is cool down after reaching its peak, ranging for a while, and after it gets out of the descending triangle it forms, it simply flies towards new highs.

My personal opinion is that DOGE will reach something like $3 this cycle as a new ATH. Don't ask me where the capital will come from; anything is possible in crypto, especially when it comes to DOGE. All I know is that DOGE will be a performer. I have a few thousand of them, and I am expecting it to do good.

Oh, I almost forgot about LEO... The way I see it, it is not going to outperform HIVE but rather follow in its footsteps. Its 2021 ATH was something around $1 if I remember correctly. This cycle will probably reach around $0.6. I wish it would do better, but thus far is performing quite poorly. Things can always change though.

Anyway, if you managed to get here reading this post, I would highly appreciate reading in the comments section what are your ATH price predictions for HIVE, BTC, and your favorite cryptos?

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

My favorite currency is Bitcoin and I think it will reach $120,000 in this cycle. Hive is a mystery to me, it can exceed $10 or stay at $2, for me anything above $5 would make me happy.

For both HIVE and BTC? What other coins do you have your eyes on or in your portfolio?

Crypto Twitter seems to have a consensus of Q4 2025 being the top of this cycle. FWIW, I’ve seen a lot of people saying $140k, but is that just Groupthink? My gut feeling is that if institutional money comes in bigly, a spike well above that might be in the cards, perhaps followed by a violent correction.

But I’ve got no clue about $HIVE. If we get smart contracts and a fully-functional SPK Network, $HIVE could really stand out from the crowd of altcoins.

My take is that the top will probably be sometime in late 2024. My gut feeling tells me that we are going to see timing a bit accelerated this cycle and that's why I'm not expecting this bull market to behave the same as previous ones in terms of length.

I will unload my bags based on market sentiment, targets and also based on data collected from crypto dudes who are way smarter than I.

I really wish Hive would get more recognition but without some crypto proper marketing I doubt CT is going to notice us. Hive will perform well nevertheless, no doubt about it.
