Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Defeating my opponent with the Scattershot Ability

Greetings to all Splinterlands warlocks, I a here once again, and I welcome you all to my blog as well, today I write to submit and share my entry to the Splinterlands Social Media Challenge. Since this is a random battle, I would be making use of any maybe a good battle of mine. Let's see how it goes in this post guys.

I used my account @abu78 in participating in this battle. I am currently playing in the Bronze stage. Before I demonstrate my battle here, let's briefly look into the Rulesets of the gameplay that I would be displaying here.

Summoner:

I chose Bortus; a summoner so that my opponent's monsters would have a reduced magic attack. It was a 26-mana game condition and I have to manage my card selection to suit that. In using the bortus, I decided to get cards that attack with magic and also have the void ability. Also, putting Axemaster in my lineup would help to perform a double scatter range attack on my opponent. I was having two monsters with the magic void ability and that gave me the upper hand.

1st Position:

Baakjira, this monster is a 6 mana card and it has a speed of 2 and zero attack damage. It is a level 1 monster with zero armor and 11 lives. I placed it in the first position so that it can utilize the magic void attack from my opponent.

From splintertools I was having 100% chance of winning the battle but and I was fully confident about that. Without much ado, let's move straight to the battle stage.

Round 1:
First of all, all monsters took their effect from the summoner by reducing the magic attack of my opponent. Baakjira also reduced the speed of my monster by one and I had the chance to attack before him. Djinn Oshannus attacked first with its magic and damage the failed summoner of my opponent's first position. Regal Peryton also attacked my second-position monster and killed it right away.

Psychic Goblin restored back the live of the first position monster on my opponent and attacked my torrent feund monster and killed that as well. At the end of the round, I was left with three more monsters and he was still having all six monsters intact.

Round 2:
Round two then began and as usual, Djinn Oshannus monster attacked first with its magic. He then followed by a magic attack from Regal Peryton monster. Djinn Oshannus attack was able to kill one of his monsters. He further attack with magic on Djinn Oshannu which had no impact on it because of the void ability.

At the end of this round, I was still left with the three monsters and I was able to eliminate only one of his monsters. At this juncture, I started to lose hope in winning this battle, but then the battle still continues.

Round 3:

In this round, I was just hoping that Axemaster isn't killed and that would grant me the chance of winning the battle. Fortunately, on my side, axemaster wasn't killed and I was able to eliminate his Queen Mycelia monster which was giving all his monsters additional armor.

At the end of the round, I was still having my three monsters intact and my opponent was now having four monster on his lineup.

Round 4:

In this round, I was able to kill his acid shooter monster and now we were both left with three monsters in our lineup. The battle became interesting as things were moving forward.

It was a great time to fight the battle till the winner is found.

Round 5 to 7:

I wasn't expecting more rounds to come by, but Psychic Goblin monster was there to restore the lives of his first monster which sent the battle to two more rounds.

I wasn’t expecting this battle to pass five rounds after seeing the monsters that were left after the fourth round. I guess I made a perfect selection with my monsters here in this battle and it really granted me this win.

The battle wasn't an easy win. That was an amazing battle for me and I know you guys would be amazed to see me winning this great battle.
