Cycling as we all know, isn’t something you just get up and know how to ride, nope, it’s a process and it needs training as well. I am a fan of cycling and I really do enjoy riding bicycle. I can remember when I was a child we used to have a bicycle in the house and that was what my Dad used to send to work. I tried my way to use that to learn how to ride but I used to be afraid because when he sees you riding it, he is going to beat me up for that.

He never plays with that bicycle because he use it for work and do not want it to be spoilt or have a fault. I was very restricted in using it and finally one day I went to visit a friend of mine, and guess what, when I got there, they have bought them two new bicycles which I had no idea about. It was then I started to learn how to ride. First of all, one of them carried me on the back of the bicycle while riding. I decided to also learn how to ride as well, so they started to teach me how to do so. I started by learning how to paddle with my legs on the paddles.

It wasn’t an easy task for me to concentrate both on the puddles and also balancing the steer. We rode all day and before we left ther back to their house, I had already fallen and wounded myself. There was a myth about learning how tot ride a bicycle, that before one can become experienced in cycling, he or she would first have to be wounded before. After this first day, I was like this is somehow true, hmmm. I didn’t end it there because I was wounded, the following day, I took permission from home and I was there again, we continued our training and there I was able to balance myself and keep my composure when riding.

I begun loving cycling when I was able to ride on my own without any assistance from anyone. When I mastered in cycling, I started to use my Dad’s bicycle whenever they send me on an errand. The happiest thing was that, after few days I got to know how to ride bicycle, my Dad finally bought a motor bike and wasn’t consistently using the bicycle as before. I got the chance to be the boss of the bicycle now and I even started to send it to school. I began cycling to school when I was in basic 5 till I completed my Junior High level. That was like for five good years I cycled to school with my bike. It really helped me a lot especially during times when I am late to school, I can easily ride faster to catch-up with time before I got punished.

There so many importance of cycling and to mention a few, it helps to shorten or lesson our journey time. It is also a form of exercise and helps to keep our fit. Although, the scorch sun and rain might beat you up, but then it is better to ride than walking in such a situation.

This is just a compendium of my cycling experience and how I got to learn how to ride bicycle. It was fun and interesting indeed, your might be much fun, share it here and let’s what you got. Feel free to leave your feedback under the comment section of this post. Have a nice day.

Thank you all for your time and attention in reading my post.

Your friends had done you so well by letting you train with their bicycle. It's the best and training with bicycle takes just fewer days to master it.

Yeah, if only you are in for it, you can learn it faster even a day

Haha, that myth I think many of us live it, in my case not only on a bike but also on skates, there I took several hits before learning, but you're right, we enjoy when we learn to ride alone, that they take one has some satisfaction but nothing like taking the bull by the horns haha.

Greetings my friend

😂 I think that myth has gone far and wide. When I was learning how to ride, I was told the same thing. I had to get injured first

I remember learning how to ride. I was cycling rounds around the block excited that I finally managed to keep it steady when I drove into a sign post.
I immediately wanted to quit cycling after that, but my older sister managed to get me back onto my bicycle again after after comforting me.
