Dressing as we all know really tells a lot about us and it is indeed very necessary for us to dress decent. Decent dressing is a sign of modesty and it shows how you were brought up from home. In Ghana, the clothes we wear are a culture that indicates the existence of life. Mostly, every ethnic group and their way of dressing, that is the Northerners has their code of dressing different from the Southerners and the Westerners.

When we speak about the Western dress code, we talk about office wears and casual wear such as suit with long sleeves, and others. In Ghana here we have a lot of African wear such as Kaba and Sleet, furugu (smock), and then others. When it comes to Western and African wear, frankly speaking, I love African wear the most and it isn’t because I am an African.

African wear is easy to wear, what I meant is that they are simple and not any kind of complex clothing. African wear does not have any sort of special uniform or dress code, they are made simple and can be worn to any occasion you can think of and that is one of the reasons I love African wear the most.

Sometimes I do wear African wear to portray my patriotism for the country. In my country Ghana, a lot of people think that office jobs are the only place we can wear Western clothing such as office suits and others, nope, we have misunderstood that concept of Western dressing. It is not only meant for office wear but we can wear them to places such as interviews, presentations, and others. Mind you, it is the same way African clothes can be worn to such places as well.

People do mistake the concept of African wear, thinking that they are only meant for African festivals, and can’t be used in offices but that isn’t the case, they can be used in the offices as well as for other occasions. In summary, I prefer to wear African clothes than Western clothing. It is a privilege to share this post with you all, I am looking forward to seeing you all in my subsequent posts.

Thank you all for your time and attention to reading my post.

Africa wears over so much in terms of fashion and comfort. I'd also choose them over Western outfits

Africa wears are just so cool and attractive in it own way.

I love the fact that we promote of culture via it and that they're comfortable and easy to wear.
