Walking into a pakistani village

“Curiosity about life in all of its aspects, I think, is still the secret of great creative people.”
– Leo Burnett

Hey everyone. I hope you all are fine and walking your way out of the things bothering you. I live in a city and everyone is very well aware of how fast and busy the city life is. This is why I decided to take a break from this busy life and go for a walk to a nearby village of my relatives.

The village is not so far and the distance can be covered within 20-30 minutes on foot. I started the journey at 7 in the morning and reached there within half an hour. I had informed my relatives who are simple, poor yet kind and welcoming people. I told them that I have walked all the way here and they were laughing. It was because they all are artisans and are very fit. Moreover, it is a norm that everyone passes by or enters in a vehicle from the city especially a local bus.

I relaxed there a lot. It was just so soothing and calm. The air was fresh and there were no turbulent noise in the air. I got some time to relax my ears too. There were a lot of roosters and other birds chirping freely. It all felt so heartwarming. Looking at these simple I came to a realization that these people are not in a race. They are happy and satisfied in whatever nature has to offer to them. This is quite contrary to how a person from the city sees life.

Anyways, I took some pictures after taking permission from my aunt and she was okay. My aunt lives there and she has recently come back from Saudi Arabia after her pilgrimage. I congratulated her as well.

They have a lot of cattle. They use the litter as a bio fuel to cook anything. Moreover, They also take its milk for their family and sell it to others for money. These are basically fishermen and my uncle is in police as an Assistant Sub Inspector.

A lot of things in our lives depend on how we see things and what are our priorities. I walked into this village tensed and tired. Stayed there for a few hours. When I left, I was relaxed and at ease with my existence. This walk taught me to be happy and content with little things that I have, things that I had forgotten to appreciate. I felt my heart pounding with fulfillment.

We all should go for such walks and voyages to remind ourselves about how simplicity can offer a lot of greater things and especially happiness.

Thank you for your time and support. It means a lot to me. Do share your thoughts and feelings in the comments section below so that we can interact and grow together.

Have you been to a village ever in your life?
