Village Photography- Monomad

“Sometimes you have to be apart from people you love, but that doesn't make you love them any less. Sometimes you love them more.”
― Nicholas Sparks, The Last Song

Hi everyone. I hope you all are fine. I am doing well. This is my entry to the #monomad challenge. I went to a nearby village and took some photos. I will tell you about the photos and about the villagers. I hope you will like the photos.

This is my entry photo. I took this near a shrine of a local saint. You will find a lot of shrines of saints in my city. The influence of Sufis in this region is quite visible on the history and culture of these people. It is dotted with shrines of saints. I don't know if you guys are familiar with this concept or not. These kids are from the village. I told them to stand still for this photo. I must say, these guys are living a very simple lifestyle here. Poverty is very common too here in these villages. Still, people are very happy.

This is another child from the village. She was not one of those. I saw her in the center of the village. She was heading towards the local shop.

This is yet another picture that I took in the village. I find it very beautiful that these villagers are very simple. Most of them are peasants in the fields. In this overly selfish world, they still chose to spend time with each other like this. This is ice placed on the table. The shopkeepers here sell ice because most of the villagers cannot afford freezers of their own. It is yet another common phenomena here.

These kids were playing with their cycle. This is a very random picture like the others. They do not resist to taking pictures. Still, I prefer taking candid and raw pictures.

These two were brother and sister. I saw them playing on the ground and it reminded me of my own childhood. How simple and beautiful children are. I wish I could relive a few moments of my childhood.

I find it amazing how adding black and white colors gives us magical pictures. We have to appreciate such kind of raw photography.

I hope you liked the photos and what I said. Do share your thoughts and views in the comments section below so that we can learn and grow together. Thank you for your time. Do not forget to follow my account for more such content. Take care and have a great day ahead.

Ps: The pictures are mine taken with my Google pixel and edited using Adobe Literoom App.

That's so heartwarming. I hope you and your brother still share the same bond.
