I cried and cried out loudly until I had no water creeping out of my eyes after remembering how I had been treated by Jackson.

He had once told me, “You will never see a good guy like me”.

Believing in his words went zero in my thoughts after taking away my happiness. I was in a state of confusion, not knowing what to do or where to go. Lusting in thoughts and gluing my mind to what I could refer to as “mindfulness”, was the only thing left of me.

How would Jackson think of terminating our relationship after gluing to each other for years?
Speaking of the devil, “Jackson, how are you? It's been a long-time now”.
“Wow, you are still so fresh and solid. You are forever young", Jackson said, smiling.
“I must always be not where you left me, but on top”, I said.
Immediately, he knelt in front of me sobering, begging profusely.
Seeing him begging kept something running deep within me.

“But you said, if I could recall clearly, that you would always see a better girl who is far better than me. You even clarified that you have seen one, and she was dying to have you as her future”. Going too crazy to see him in front of me was the annoying part of my life, and making me think back to our past was the worst thing ever.

“I just need to apologize and let me into your life again. I have toured around the moon trying to find the right one for me, not knowing that I was leaving my future for my doom", Jackson said, pretending to be regretful.

“I have known you from scratch and have known how you can always behave when it comes to the aspect of apologizing. You have a sobering mind and a wicked heart. By now you would have moved on with your life just as what you said to me in the past, I want to move on with my life, so why did you turn back to me? Has life treated you badly, or no girl was able to endure your habit?

“I have forbidden Taye from coming to my house, as he has been the originator of our differences. He had been the one pushing Mona to me. After much talk, he succeeded in penetrating my life and started extorting me, through Mona. It was far too late before I discovered their unruly attitude. The two fellas had eaten me deep before I woke up from slumber. How would I have known the evil plans of Taye?” Jackson said, trying to make a mountain out of a dunghill.

“It's your business. You never seem to love me, or else it wouldn't have occurred to you to forsake me just like that. You dumped me just like a dumping refuse”, I said, trying to be strong, as remembering his character could make one go Gaga.

Jackson remained adamant, not ready to leave until I granted him a second chance, which I don't think was visible. Seeing him come to me is a mess on his path. He was so nice at the beginning, but later became a terror after knowing Taye. “This means my hunch was correct, Taye was the one behind our departure”, all these kept running through my mind and I became so blank in thought except for the past but not the present.

My mum had always told me to be careful going out with Jackson. She was not surprised to hear about our departure, as she had known it would end up this way from scratch.

“How did you find me, by the way?” I asked Jackson.
“When I separated from Mona, I began to search for you all over the nook and cranny. I had asked Bisi, your best friend, but she said she knew nothing about your welfare nor did she know where you were. Not only that, but I mistakenly bumped into Haruna, your uncle, who showed me your abode”, Jackson said soberly.

“You don't need to regret your actions and what you have done. That's where your fate led you to”, without thinking twice, I uttered smoothly.

“But can't you find a way to let me into your heart once again? I have been missing you immensely and would not want to lose you to someone after a long-distance journey of separation”, Jackson, who did not know what had become of me, said.

After staying for twenty minutes, chatting, my husband bounced in. Without wasting time, I immediately rushed to him and called out to him “Honey, welcome”. We both hugged and kissed.

With a surprised look, Jackson raised his head, gazing at my husband. He asked, “Are you married?”

“Yes, I'm”, I said loudly.
“And you did not tell me? I have been washing my time, talking for over 2 hours now, without knowing what has become of you?” Jackson's voice crackled, and his eyes were heavy, wanting to release the ocean of water.

“Honey, that's Jackson, my ex, the one I had told you about”, I said happily.
“Oh, Jackson, how have you been faring? It's nice meeting you", Daniel said, smiling, throwing his hands forward to meet Jackson for a handshake.

“Yes, I'm great”, Jackson replied but lamenting deeply inside of him. After the introduction, Jackson left to where I don't know, lamenting.
