How Powerful is the Passport

Every country has its passport ranking because it is a document which required for global travel. We cannot travel to any other country without a passport and it is a legitimate document that is an amended requirement for international travel. Now this passport is not just a document because there are certain parameters aligned with it. For example, every passport is given a ranking every year based on its value worldwide. Value means its ranking where how many countries are available for either visa-free or e-visa facilities.

Many countries offer the visa facility on arrival for some of the countries and it depends on their relation with those countries. Some countries also offer visa-free access to some countries depending upon their relations so it is quite convenient. If you are holding a visa that has access to many countries without any visa requirement then it is very convenient. Even if it is a visa on arrival then also it is very convenient for the citizens. We can check every year's passport ranking on the Internet and here I am sharing the latest list for some top countries for your reference.

India slipped one notch down from last year to 85th even as the countries with visa-free access to Indians increased to 62 from 60 in 2023. The rank of political crisis-hit Pakistan remained the same as last year, at 106, while Bangladesh's position slipped from 101 in 2023 to 102 this year.

This year in 2024 India is listed on 86th rank now Indians can visit 62 countries with free visa access. I think its not bad that some countries are getting 100+ countries for visa-free access but India has got sixty-two which I consider as good but this situation has been improving in the last few years. At least India is not one of the countries where this access is very limited and the Indian passport is getting stronger with each passing year.

We can't deny the fact that this is all dependent upon global relations how the country is trying to build relations with other countries to enable this option and how reliable the citizens are for the world. Providing visa-free access to any country might not be easy for the country because this can be a challenging situation for them but it's a good thing for the people who are holding such powerful passports.

I have not visited any country so I don't know how this process works. But I keep on reading the articles about global relations and geographic updates to see how things are moving. I have applied for the passport which I think should be delivered in a few weeks or months but for now, I have no travel plan outside India. I'm getting my passport ready because you never know when an opportunity comes and that time I will not have time to wait for the passport application since it takes almost a month. It is a crucial document and the Indian passport is also pretty good. Since we get access to sixty-two countries with free visas I think is not easy for anyone to travel the world around in a year.
