Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Destroyed By Quora Towershead And Usut

Time flies! Just completed the 135th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 5 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 4th!!

So for the final result, we were 4th out of 10 guilds and got 592 Merits and around 18 SPS! A whole bag of SPS!

Individually, I had 5 fights this time and I won 3 of them this time! Finished 7th within the guild! Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 3 additional wins for me.

Battle 1 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

This was such a painful loss to take. Because both sides had healing, it went on for more than 20 rounds until Fatigue took over. In the end, the opposing Quora Towershead made it because of her self healing ability. Argh.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

Another 17 mana battle and I opted for the exact identical lineup. This time it was too easy as my opponent didn't have the cards to overcome this combination.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

This was so fun to watch. With 2 Martyr boosts, Drybond Raider went on a crazy mode and picked off my opponent easily. Initially, I didn't know how to approach this battle, but a combination of Astral Entity, Venari Marksrat and Drybone Raider did the job!

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Liza Fox

A Quora Towershead in my opponent's lineup but my damage output this time was just fantastic this time. Coupled with Blast, my team wrecked my opponent's lineup in no time. That said, my opponent didn't field a strong lineup anyway. Will take this win!

Battle 5 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Trapp Falloway

OMG! What on earth was this battle about. I thought I was cruising to an easy win when I had 6 cards versus 1 card. But the opposing Usut took out my entire team turn by turn and that left me speechless. How did that happen!?

So that sums up my 5 battles for this brawl! A 60% win rate, not too bad as my losses were against battles that I hardly stood a chance.
