Fishing has been our way

but it has seen a better day

Our bodies were once young

now starting to fall apart

but it is still in our hearts.

Growing palms brought some cash

Now the price of soil

they will not slash.

Do we put out 2 grand for more?

Or let others buy them from the store?

We could open a bread farm but

the price of flour, geez be damn.

It has tripled in 4 years span.

Maybe I will sit back

and have a beer, or two.

and think about what to do.

So what to do to pay the bills?

We can take off and

live in the hills.

What to do to make a living?

To hope others are giving

That seems not to be working

for others who need it more.

So, I guess I can sweep floors.
