after the long cold and snowy winter, when the warmer weather finally arrives you can often meet people on the street that you haven't seen in ages.


just the other day i waved to an old friend i hadn't seen for years. he looked so thin i hardly recognized him. he was just a shadow of his old self. i know it was uncalled for but as we were chatting i couldn't help remarking
"you lost a lot of weight!"


he quickly retorted
"speak for yourself. have you looked in the mirror recently!"
