Strong deck or strategy: the shade of gray

The splinterlands season will be ending in two days and I have been able to gather as many glints as I can to upgrade my deck at the end of the season, even though I wish I could acquire more. my sps delegation was not filled could have been a game changer because I would have earned more glints with more sps but without it, I still managed to earn over 100 thousand glints even without maximizing the advantages that I played in the Champions League 3.

Playing in the Champions League has changed my approach to the game because I have been battling with the very best in the game and playing in the wild format has not made things easy, I have to face a lot of good bots and good players, I realized I have to change my approach to the game and strategies instead of playing the traditional way. The traditional way is to play a tank and also a semi-tank with some good monsters at the backline. Playing this way hasn't really worked playing against good players and I have always played in their strategy.

Strategy is better but does not work all the time.

In this game, you have to realize that money always makes a difference no matter how good your strategy is. if you meet someone with a better deck you will always struggle against them but that doesn't mean that good strategy doesn't always work, with the recent changes in ranking sometimes I struggle against players with the lower deck because of the strategies they are using and I have experienced this countless of times. it will be better if you have a good strategy and also a good deck to compete at the highest level.

good deck doesn’t guarantee a win because we the new ranking system someone with a lower monster will beat you with a good strategy also good strategy does not guarantee a win because someone with a good deck would beat you easily and that is the beauty of this game nothing is guaranteed. my approach now is relying on good strategy because I don’t have the money to build a good deck even though I have a strong deck compared to some people. That is why I focus greatly on accumulating glints to better in the game.

Shade of Gray

The main reason I love the shade of gray is that you are only allowed to use Natural Monster which is the weakest in almost everybody's deck and also it is a new rule set and not everyone has built a strategy around it yet. I have a simple strategy I normally follow when playing this rule set which is to use speed because I know the opponent is probably planning to play the same monster and I believe the speed will always make the difference. Ever since I have been playing this rule set my winning rate very high.

If you look at this battle you will see that I follow my speed strategy and that is what makes the difference because we almost played the same monster but my monster was faster. most natural monsters are not really fast but my opponent has a different view because he only wants more attacks which could have worked if I did not use the speed strategy. In the end, it was a close game but my strategy worked this time. It is always better to follow a strategy, it might not worked all the time but it is better.

Thanks for you time.

The new ruleset that only allows neutral is definitely interesting. The only thing to really consider is the summoner for the bonus effects and I agree that speed is very important in fights.

Your summoner has good speed, and it's a legendary maxed out summoner. It's just like you've said. Strategy is not everything. Sometimes you need the money to compete and compete well. Good win. The battle of the neutral cards
