May 1st, a different celebration (EN-ES)

Greetings and blessings, my dear friends from @lifestyle. I hope you are feeling great, healthy and well.

Yesterday, International Workers' Day was commemorated and we decided to take a well-deserved break and have a different celebration. We went for a walk around the city, as we like to take advantage of these holidays to take long walks and get to know a little more of beautiful Bogota.

The city was in motion, with an air of celebration that could be breathed in every corner. There were many people on the street, as most workers take this opportunity to relax and enjoy the well-deserved respite, getting out of the routine, making a different plan to the day to day.

Bogota was radiant, the sky clear and clear blue, the beautiful sun illuminated us from above, which made the day very colorful and charming.

We went for our walk through the G Zone which is very beautiful, with brick houses and dormers, most of them converted into restaurants or cafes. The G Zone is very close to home and we love to go up there to see new places. On this occasion, our intention was to look for a nice and cozy coffee shop where we could have a coffee for the celebration of our day as workers.

Of course there were pictures, lots of pictures of the G zone that I will share with you later.

Ayer, se conmemoró el Día Internacional de los trabajadores y nosotros decidimos tomarnos un merecido descanso y tener una celebración diferente. Nos fuimos de paseo por la ciudad, pues nos gusta aprovechar estos días festivos para hacer largas caminatas y así conocer un poco más de la hermosa Bogotá.

La ciudad estaba en movimiento, con un aire de celebración que se respiraba en cada esquina. Había mucha gente en la calle, pues la mayoría de los trabajadores aprovechan esta oportunidad para relajarse y disfrutar del merecido respiro, saliéndose de la rutina, haciendo un plan diferente al del día a día.

Bogotá estaba radiante, el cielo despejado y azul clarito, el sol hermoso nos iluminaba desde lo alto, lo cual hacía que el día estuviera muy colorido y encantador.

Nos fuimos a dar nuestra caminata por la Zona G que es muy hermosa, con casas de ladrillos y buhardillas, la mayoría convertidas en restaurantes o cafeterías. La zona G está muy cerca de casa y nos encanta subir hasta allá para conocer nuevos lugares. En esta ocasión, nuestra intención era buscar una bonita y acogedora cafetería donde tomarnos un café para la celebración de nuestro día como trabajadores.

Por supuesto que hubo fotos, muchas fotos de la zona G que luego les compartiré.

My daughter was looking for Casa Café Cultor, a beautiful place where she wanted to invite us to entertain us. After walking around looking for the address, we arrived at the place. As we entered, the tempting aroma of freshly brewed coffee permeated the whole atmosphere. To our surprise, there were a lot of people and, although at first, we were a little disappointed that we could not find a seat in the open space in the cafeteria, in a garden with a fountain that refreshed the afternoon, we decided not to let that ruin our plan for the day and we did not sit inside.

I really liked the aesthetics of the place and its slogan Everything in a cup. I loved the fireplace that was near the table we occupied and from the ashes I saw there, it is evident that they light it on very cold days.

Mi hija iba en busca de Casa Café Cultor, un hermoso lugar al que nos quería invitar para agasajarnos. Luego de caminar, buscando la dirección, llegamos al sitio. Al entrar, el aroma tentador del café recién hecho impregnaba todo el ambiente. Para nuestra sorpresa, había mucha gente y, aunque al principio, nos sentimos un poco decepcionados por no poder encontrar asiento en el espacio al libre que hay en la cafetería, en un jardín con una fuente que refrescaba la tarde, decidimos no dejar que eso arruinara nuestro plan del día y no sentamos en el interior.

Me gustó mucho la estética del lugar y su slogan Todo en una taza. Me encantó la chimenea que estaba cerca de la mesa que ocupamos y por las cenizas que vi ahí, se evidencia que la encienden en los días de mucho frío.

We placed our coffee order. I opted for the cappuccino, it is the one I always order when I arrive at a new coffee shop because I like to go for the safest and, also, because if it seems good and well done, it is possible that, when I return, I will order another from the menu to taste.

My cappuccino was delicious, with a good coffee flavor and very creamy, with enough foam as I like.

We agreed to return another day to Casa Café Cultor to enjoy the cozy atmosphere of the garden and its delicious coffee, but in a quieter environment.

Hicimos nuestro pedido de café. Yo me decanté por el capuccino, es el que siempre pido cuando llego a una nueva cafetería porque me gusta irme por lo más seguro y, además, porque si me parece bueno y bien hecho, es posible que, al volver, pida otro del menú para degustar.

Les cuento que mi cappuccino estaba delicioso, tenía buen sabor a café y muy cremoso, con suficiente espuma como me gusta.

Quedamos en volver otro día a Casa Café Cultor para disfrutar del ambiente acogedor del jardín y de su delicioso café, pero en un entorno más tranquilo.

Back home, I was going with a heart full of gratitude and satisfaction, as we are blessed to have our own business to work for our livelihood and to serve the community.
